We Asked Photographers From All Around The World What ‘Love’ Meant To Them, And Here Are Their Responses (40 Pics)
Love is a complex set of emotions and beliefs, an intense feeling of deep affection and a force of nature that can be found anywhere. It is one of the strongest feelings that we'll ever know: love means to be deeply committed and connected to someone or something. Family, friends, lovers, pets - love is a bond that two hearts share.
When it comes to defining what love means through photo ideas, each one of us can have a unique definition. These 50 photographers have shared their unique points of view around 'Love' and have been selected as finalists among more than 15,093 beautiful picture submissions in the #Love2019 photo contest by AGORA images, a free-to-use photography app that has been awarding the world's biggest prizes in global photography contests since 2017.
Everyone can now vote for their favorite love photo in the app and help the guest judge decide who will be the #Love2019 Hero who will win the prize of $1,000. The winning love picture will be announced on Thursday, 12th September 2019.

Intimacy
This photo portrays two members of one of India's oldest tribe: the Konyac tribe. The woman on the right (96 years old) was once the queen of the tribe and the man on the left (103 years old) used to be her bodyguard. I have 3 boys, and one girl, and when I watch them play or when I hear them say something to one another...it's almost as if I'm intruding. It's a bond that gets stronger as they age and it now includes their baby sister. I'm so thankful that they have one another.

I think the boy is albino black-African. Not that it matters, just an observation. Albinos are feared and revered in witchcraft circles in Africa, especially Tanzania. Many are mutilated by amputation of limbs or murdered outright, for the use of their appendages in tribal medicine. Grave robbing is also a huge problem, for the same reason.

He can be a boy who likes to make his nails painted as his mother or gandmother. People shouldn't think he's a girl because of that (same as blue!). Or you may thought he's a boy because of his lack of hair. Or that he could be ill. If he says he's a boy, he's a boy.

You have to doctor it up a bit in Photoshop. You overexpose the water, then darken the divers. There's no way to get exactly this straight out of camera because light penetrates water differently than air so there'd be a gradient doing down getting darker and darker, plus the water would have to be 100% free of any debris or aquatic life or algae etc. The closest you could come would be to shoot people jumping on a trampoline on a bright day with the sun right behind them and then expose for the sky to make it white (the people will automatically be silhouettes).

It's not the activity, because that is a real thing that people do and as far as I can tell they're not doing it to risk their lives on purpose. The love in this picture is the fact that they are still holding hands even after being submerged in the water.

Another Instagram pose. In a few years, all girls who are growing up with Instagram will automatically stand on one leg and hold out the other leg towards the back whenever they kiss someone. Yes, you are right to point this out. A lot of their villages have been razed since then, there is nothing for them to come back to. BUT the people in this lovely photo are probably simple villagers in a different part of Myanmar. At least that is what I like to think.

Did you know it's called the Cinderella pop? The theory goes, if you're kissing someone and your foot pops up naturally behind you like that without you choosing to, that means you really love them. If you choose to do it however, (like this picture) it will always look half arsed and fake!

I know several couples who exemplify true love as one of the two has a disability and the other stayed, or saw beyond the disability to the person. I don't know anyone who wouldn't still want to be loved if something happened to them, or when something happens.
